Karan Raj Kanwar follows in his father’s footsteps

Karan Raj Kanwar, the son of late filmmaker Raj Kanwar, is taking the family banner Inderjit Films forward.
The production house has given movies like Daag — The Fire, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye and Raqeebin the past. Not to forget, the late director is even credited for launching Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta.

Having previously produced Lucky Kabootar, Karan is now geared up for his next venture Yahaan Sabki Lagi Hai.This multi-lingual film revolves around the urban youth of today and looks at the existence of a class system in modern society, based on economic and social status. Directed by Cyrus R Khambata and Tina A Bose, the comedy subtly raises questions about the young generation’s materialistic attitude towards life.
Says Karan, “We have five films on our plate. Like my father, I too believe in working on content-driven subjects.”
Yahaan Sabki Lagi Hai, presented by Inderjit Films, releases March 27.
